I'm 6'-2" and 84, and every morning I do straight-legged floor touches with my fingertips. I don't reach the floor at first, but after a few stretches from standing to bending at the waist, I begin to touch the deck. Yowzah!
I've never been able to do that, even when I was a kid. I recall when I was 9 years old and we had to do sit ups at school. The teacher had two kids sit on my knees to stop me from bending them. I could not do sit ups that way because my hamstrings are too short. I have never in my entire life been able to bend over and touch my toes without bending my knees. I was seeing a chiropractor who also does sports medicine for University of Virginia athletics. He could not help.
But he reaches farther (or is it further) than you. Now I understand why you're not afraid of hitting your head on the ceiling with that trampoline
Hey, my legs go all the way to the ground just like his. Proportionately speaking, 'tis a moot point.

I need to git one. I have thousands,(ok hundreds) of sticks in my south lawn that need to be cleared before mowing. The operator presence safety on the mower shuts it down when I try reaching down. Do these have a proper name? What department in Wal MArt are they? I am a shorty I guess 6' even.
I got one of those for my hubby to use as he has balance problems. I have gotten unmentionables from behind the washer/dryer with one on occasion. I actually got them at our dollar store. Not as sturdy as some but work well enough for us.
I've had one of those for a couple of years. Comes in handy but I notice if something is too bulky or heavy, it doesn't hold on to the item. Sometimes I use it to maneuver the item so that I can get it. Since my son it tall, if there's something neither the grabber or I can reach, he'll get it for me.
I had that problem the other day. I'm in a rural area and keep backup stock of certain supplies on hand. If my local Walmart is out, I don't have a convenient second choice. I was rearranging my supply of Ziploc bags, aluminum foil, and cling wrap and couldn't get that bulky 300' roll of Glad where I needed it without a stool. But I like the Grabber enough that I just bought a second one for the garage. I store PVC pipes and stuff on the rafters. btw: Welcome to the forum!! There's a non-obvious place for folks to put up an introduction, if you care to. It's not a requirement (and you may have already done so elsewhere), but here's the spot if you'd like to. See you around, Reva...
