Today is a carry-out day, so we'll probably have burgers or Chick-fil-a.

We alternate between sausage and bacon gravy. I like both but we're out of sausage. We have that meal every six or eight weeks. Can't afford
to have it too often, my waist line would expand too much.

I hear ya on the waistline thing. Isn't it a shame that when we get old, we STILL can't indulge ourselves and eat whatever we please?

The thing I like best about biscuits and gravy is they are both foods that were created to salvage leftover grease, and we get to have them both in a single dish!!

When we were having regular church services, we did a fellowship brunch every month. One couple always brought sausage gravy and biscuits. Good stuff.

    Good for you!

Dressing (or stuffing) can be such an iffy thing. I've had it in-the-bird and it's like overcooked pudding. I really don't make it from scratch very often.

I have never had cornbread stuffing.
    Not once.

Not by choice or preference, I've just never known anyone who's made it.

Lordy ...would you like me to send you my mamas recipe? I think corn bread dressing is one of our Southeren things
It freezes well...you could try halting the ingredients...but I never have.

If you have a recipe you could post, I'll sure try it.

All the years I've lived in Virginia and I have never had the chance to try it.
