Sigh.... I'm afraid that poor @Hal Pollner will never learn to post a video. More's the pity. I thought he was so smart, too.
I was trying to post a cell phone video MP 4 in the video and photo section and it doesn't accept MP 4 video, only MP3 audio. How do you post a homemade video directly? Thanks, Faye
That will play on the forum? It appears as a file that has to be downloaded. Is there any way besides putting it on YouTube and posting the link?
The only way that I know is to upload it as a file. It will accept uploads of ZIP, TXT, PDF, PNG, JPG, JPEG, JPE, MP3 and WAV files, the last two being audio files. I haven't tried it but I believe that someone would have to click on the file in order to activate it, and I am guessing that most people won't do that. The "Upload a File" button is between the "Post Reply" and "More Options" buttons.
Thanks Ken. Only way I could see is they would have to click on the file and download it on their computer to hear it. Best just to make a video with audio file and put it on You Tube.
Here is an actual youtube video which will show you how to do it step by step. Sometimes it's easier to understand something if you can visualize it.
I noticed some people posting short videos. I tried this without success. I tried a simple copy and paste. Nothing happened. The 'upload file' had no video file extensions.allowed, only picture or text formats. I downloaded a program that could reduce video file size. The format I chose was mp4. The file came out as m4v extension but under the stated file size limit. I don't know what I'm doing.
It's fairly simple to upload to Youtube, even I could do it. (Of course my single attempt at being a Youtube "star" was nipped in the bud, so youtube can place their content where the sun don't shine.)
The video is here. Video Removed I'm wondering if people will misunderstand it. Amber was an odd cat. She only had a somewhat normal relationship with Pat. With me she wanted to play this way. I could pet her if she was facing away from me and could pretend it wasn't me. If I spoke to her, though, she would turn around and hiss at me. If I tried to pet her face to face she would hiss and bat at me. Like I said - an odd cat. When I would come into Pat's apartment Amber would run up and sit close to me, ready to play in her strange way.
OK, I'm no cat expert, but the growling seems to be a "tell" that Amber wants you to get lost. And I must have missed part of the story because I have no idea who Pat is.
I trust your take. I'll remove it. You'd have to have known the cat. I can see how some might misunderstand.
