Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has died -- Breitbart

There is no other information yet but, as most people are aware, she has not been in good health for quite some time.

    From Yahoo...

Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the liberal icon who served on the Supreme Court since 1993 and who crusaded for women’s rights before that, died on Friday at the age of 87.

Ginsburg died from complications of cancer, according to the Supreme Court. She died Friday evening surrounded by her family at her home in Washington.

The justice dictated a statement to her granddaughter in the days before her death, NPR reported. Ginsburg said: “My most fervent wish is that I will not be replaced until a new president is installed.”

Mitch says he will proceed to confirm new justice when he has a name.
They want to avoid a looming crisis if court is 4/4 after election

    Yup.

As long as there are outstanding Mail In Ballots, the election is only over when the court says it is.
Get ready for the "He should not appoint so close to an election..." rhetoric.

Heck of a thing for a Supreme Court Justice to say.
Whoever is in power has the duties and the rights.

I admired her greatly; she did so much for women's causes.

It is unfortunate that the highest court in the land has to be partisan in any fashion.

    It’s a heckova thing.
Obama and many other politicians almost immediately came out and uttered their own little political childish opinions concerning her death and thus far from what I have seen, only D. Trump bypassed the politics and praised her life and offered sorrow for her passing.

He could have said something like, *it is sad that she passed but it means we have a lot of work to do to fill that position* but nope, he spoke (and wrote) in a first class way which although somewhat surprising, gives me a better insight into his true character.

When the mourning is over, it's going to get ugly unfortunately.

Isn't that Mitch's fervent belief? He went to great lengths to make that perfectly clear in the not that distant past. Now lets hear you equivocate.
I know that something major has happened to make him change his mind on such an important issue!
Oh I know! It is a republican president a republican senate,!

    Yup.

And when Obama wanted to do it, the Dems were all in favor. Now they are against it.
    They are all hypocrites.
