I haven't had a TV for twenty years and you all are reminding me of why. Every second I spent watching commercials was, to my mind, a small death. On my computer I've got a combination of software that blocks every ad.
I was going to post this over in “signs” because @Beth Gallagher sort of opened up the door with, “Stuck in the Middle With You” in regard to the “Clowns” and “Jokers” signs. Dunno but instead of going way off topic I put this over here.
I think I commented that the songs of our youth should never be used this way. ELO's "It's Magic" for Ozempic. Jackson Five's "ABC" for Trelogy. Ad [literally] nauseum.
Though I agree with both of you guys, the musicians probably made a chunk from the producers of the products.
This reminds me of when all you would see are M.o.M. commercials, Alka-Seltzer commercials, and Geritol commercials. I don't need to see or hear about the rest of the world's issues (is "Manscaping" a real word?)
I can't find the Advil commercial for some reason, but this song from it really resonates. (Not silly or disgusting, though.) This song is beautiful.
