The little toe is more responsible for steadiness in standing and walking than any other toe. Similarly, when making a tight grip with the hand, it is the pinky that contributes the most to the grip strength! Hal
I might differ with your analysis since it has been recorded throughout ancient history, some captured soldiers that were turned into slaves suffered from having their big toes and thumbs amputated to hamper their ability to hold a sword or stand in a stable position or run. In Judges 1:7 we have 70 kings who had their thumbs and big toes cut off so they had to eat scraps from the table like dogs. Matter of fact, some anthropologists say that in the evolutionary processes, the little toe is getting smaller and will eventually say adios bye-bye.
One important thing that should be mentioned is the most important function of the “pinky” finger, especially for those drinking tea, is to be extended upward whilst holding one’s cup. It simply wouldn’t be proper otherwise.
I liked it with the button, but not really. Oh my gosh. I feel bad for you stuck on the floor. Been there, done that. Why is that injury quite common? So you not only fractured it, but ripped it open as well? I feel sorry that you got hurt like that. Oh, that tripping over things! I hope you heal quickly.
