Here is a video showing the statement that President Trump made form Walter Reed hospital. You can see that he is looking well, and having no trouble being up and around, so the doctors are not keeping him in bed all the time. I thought he looked sickly in that video from the hospital; certainly a lot more pale and not as "hearty" as he typically is.

Yet he continues to abuse and expose the people tasked with all his little photo ops so that he can project the strongman image. I mean the drive around the block,really? how vain can a person get? At least this time there were no protesters gassed to clear the roadway for him!
Do yourself a favor and quit embarrassing yourself by doing a little research. He was given the approval by the medical staff of the hospital and the proper PPE was assured. AND.......It has been reported that D.Trump could be out of the hospital later today but that determination will be made this morning. After all the harping you guys did about D. Trump supposedly going against science, how is it that now when he absolutely IS doing what he’s supposed to do that you complain about that too?
I agree, that drive around the block was really dumb; I don't see the point in that at all beyond simple ego.
I do not think that it was just ego that inspired him to take that drive and wave to all of his supporters who have been out there cheering for our president and waving flags for the whole weekend. Not to say that he does not have an ego, and did not want to show his illness; but I believe that it was more than that, and maybe something that not everyone would understand. The difference between President Trump and Joe Biden, is that the people who are voting for Trump, for the most part, are voting for him because they really believe that he cares about this country, and about all of us people as well. I believe that he does care about us, and even though he is a fallible human being, he is doing his best to help this country be the best it can be, and also help the whole world be a better place. He inspires devotion and loyalty in his followers, and he responds to their love for him. He sent out Trump chocolates one night, and another time sent coffee, and I think he even sent pizza out for the people out there supporting him and praying for him to get well, and praying for Melania also. Joe Biden does not inspire that kind of loyalty from anyone. The people who greet him when he speaks somewhere are Trump supporters, waving flags and Trump signs, not people lining the streets with Biden/Harris signs and flags. It would not have mattered much whom the DNC had chosen for the candidate, he would have been supported on only the basis that he is against Trump, and they would vote for anyone the Democrats sent to run for president. Even with his own supporters, Biden has been sharp and vindictive and calls them names, like he did the group of veterans that he spoke to. He doesn’t love his people, and they do not love him, they only care that he is not Trump, as opposed to Trump caring about his supporters and them being fiercely loyal to him. There are probably still some that will vote for Trump just because they do not like Biden, which is not much different than the liberals voting for Biden because they hate Trump. None of the threads on this forum (or anywhere else that I have read) are about how wonderful Biden (or Harris) is as a person or as a candidate. And as far as driving around the block, what did it hurt ? The same group of SS agents were with our president every single day, at the White House, on the trip to the hospital, and with him in the car. He was wearing the required mask, which are so touted to protect people; and he had been up and around all day. He misses his rallies, and I believe that his ride around the block cheered both Trump’s heart and all of the supporters who were there, and all of us Trumpsters who watched the video and saw him waving at all of us.
I suppose we'll have to agree to disagree on this one, Yvonne. Personally I don't believe Trump cares about anyone beyond the man in the mirror. Like most politicians and high-powered businessmen, he has a huge ego and wastes too much time patting himself on the back and pandering to his fan base. Not that this is in any way specific to Trump; most politicians including Biden are the same... but some can disguise it better. I think a lot of people are like me; no love for any candidate but hopeful that whoever wins the election won't do much more harm to our country. I will be voting the platform, not the individual. If Trump had ever shown the slightest bit of decorum or respect for his own office it would be easier for me to support him.
The thing is Pete, you never really do the research. You hunt and peck through a myriad of articles that agree with you but negate anything you might have to think about. Now, if its just a matter of hating D. Trump, okay, we all get that you hate him. But do the research before you commit your fingers to the keyboard. BTW.......And that bit about worshipping D. Trump. Again, if you even tried to commit some thought, no matter how small or how straining it is to your brain you should know that I WORSHIP no man, woman, child, dollar, or anything else on this earth. That’s statement reminds me of something a kindergartener would make which again, should be embarrassing.
I too think it is a little more than what a person sees or even what Yvonne posted. I was raised to be a man and it is a man that I became. If we get knocked down either physically or mentally, we are supposed to get back up and keep going. Yup, there is a lot of ego involved and that I will grant anyone but I do believe that D. Trump was raised in a way that most males were brought up and the first rule was No crying and the second is, go back to work no matter how you feel. For me to say to anyone much less show anyone that I can’t is so far beyond how I was raised it is almost unthinkable. Perhaps and more than likely, D. Trump simply did what was most common to all men who were raised on a steady diet of “no excuses”. He spent a little time showing that he could still do the job and was still working no matter the situation.
He never should have left that hospital. When you are determined to have COVID-19, and he has, he must quarantine for 14 days. Mrs. Trump is doing so and simply because his supporters and the fact that he is the President does not warrant him jeopardizing others further or endangering his health either. Sometimes he is just too childish and it isn't amusing. I cannot abide the thought of a Biden/Harris administration, but, if he continues these antics, it could come to that. He's being discharged from the hospital far too early.
Trump's just arrived at the White House. Walked up the steps fine & unassisted. Standing there for photos having taken his mask off.
Well, as long as he remains quarantined at the W.H., I guess he is better off. Lord knows what he'd pick up in the hospital.
If it were early or mid term for him, I might tend to agree. But you know what the date is. He has little choice.
