Thanks Joe... That was really lovely.. I watched 2 times and still enjoy it... Again, many thanks.........
Steve and others in northern places, just keep the cold weather up there where it belongs. I'm thinking spring and gardening and such down here.
Yeah, hate to tell him that we've been at 80+ degrees down here on the Gulf Coast for the last few days.
Bonnie I had a quick look at your profile page to see where you are but it says I'm blocked from seeing your info...so I have to ask on here......where are yooooo..????.80 degrees plus...I wanna book my next holiday there nowwwww!!
Steve I remember asking you a year or 2 back how you keep your house warm etc in those deep freezing temps. As for clothing outside I know it's best to wear thermal layers...but I've been hunting for a really warm but breathable jacket for my o/h for a while, and some are eye wateringly expensive. can I pick your brains do you know any really good brands that are not hugely expensive that might be worth taking a look at ? I've searched for feather and down ..ski jackets..etc...but it's all a bit of a minefield !
Yeah Holly ... sorry... nothing in profile. I have my location in my signature. Houston, Texas. Remember me from across the way? ... you once invited me for a visit.. ..lol Maybe you need to come here??
Yes I remember you Bonnie absolutely,, of course, , and you're still invited for a visit, but I just couldn't remember where you were in the USA ...ooooh perhaps I should book a winter holiday to Houston for next year.. and soak up those luvvverly temperatures
You are warmer than us now, Bonnie! At least here in Fresno, I see Southern California is 80 today. Saw Falcon bragging on another site. @Bonnie Thomas , do you get Fresno hot in the summer, or are you a little cooler in Texas?
We are up to 33 right now, and that is as warm as it is going to get for the day, and back down to 20 tonight. However, by Monday, we should be back up to 50 in the daytime, and then warming up into the 60+ as the month goes on. I agree with @Sheldon Scott , that the northerners should keep all of their (beloved ?) snow and cold up there where it belongs, and not send any more of it down here in the South , where we like the winter sunshine. I am reading the flower and seed catalogs, and even thinking about getting out the little green electric rototiller again and playing in the little garden areas in the front yard.
Hey, @Sheldon Scott , you should have gone to the grocery store with me this morning! The wind chill was -20 or -25 below zero and the north wind was blowin' like crazy.
We're having a very warm January & February this year. It's not the norm. Summer can get very hot & humid on the Gulf Coast. 90's-100.
