Last night I roasted a chicken ala Jamie Oliver, seasoned with fresh garlic, fresh sage, lemon zest, cinnamon, salt and pepper. GS had a friend here for dinner. My usual grocery store was out of fresh sage
so I went to another and they had only ONE packet of sage leaves left! I guess I was a lucky duck!

You always make such yummy dinners, @Ruby Begonia. So does @Holly Saunders and both of you ladies work. I don't even post what I eat because it's usually a lean cuisine TV dinner or anything else I don't have to cook.

Shame on me, I used to love to cook and was good at it, wonder where my passion went?? :(
Sorry if I left out some other great cooks on here but Ruby was most recent and Holly's dinners stick in my head.

About the sage, Ruby....that's one that is always gone around thanksgiving time. Maybe a few Valentine's Day dinners had sage in the recipe.:)

Chrissy , I only cook twice a week. Rarely more. On one of those days I'll make 2 or 3 different things to freeze or eat soon after. We eat some left overs. I really like to cook, that's why I do it. I would more often and have guests for dinner but the aches and pains get in the way. It's like I'm playing with something, but that something is food.

I'm sure you are a great cook but you just aren't in the mood. Think about inviting a friend or two for dinner and plan what you might serve? Maybe that will re-ignite the passion.

Oh yes, the sage. You're right, after the holidays it's not around so much. I don't use it very often and when I do I can find some in my freezer, but not this time.

Maybe once my medicare kicks in Ill discuss antidepressants with my Dr.

I've done well on Lexapro and Wellbutrin but the brand is expensive and I didn't do well on the generic so haven't been on any in many years, maybe it's time but I really dread the thought of them...what to do, what to do!?

Do exactly what you said.... discuss antidepressants with your doctor.
    And, have a dinner party!

Except besides Pickles and one friend who has become housebound, I don't really have friends here. :(

I did enjoy having dinner parties though but that was long ago.

Peanut butter sandwich on whole grain bread and a banana. I always bring that to eat on my train trips to Houston. :)

I love peanut butter but I've never had it with a banana. I like it with jam.

The plan for today; hamburger steaks with lots of onions, twice baked potatoes and collards.

Chrissy, Have a big dinner party for folks on this forum and you can do all the cooking. I'm sure you'll come up with a great menu.
