Large anti-lockdown protests are sweeping across Europe. Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, the UK, Poland. The media are trying to put a lid on coverage of these momentous events. In Southern California, five sheriffs of populous counties (17 million people) are refusing to enforce Governor Newsom’s new curfew order. A petition to recall the governor is gaining steam. In New York, members of the Chasidic sect held a wedding attended by several thousand people, sitting closely packed without masks. In a more intimate setting, up close and powerfully personal, gym members and owners in Buffalo, New York, shouted down cops and a public health officer, who had entered the gym because the gathering exceeded the prescribed limit. The gym personnel drove out the cops and followed them, to make sure they left the property. In Buffalo, protestors came to the house of Erie County Executive, Mark Poloncarz, to express their anger at new lockdown restrictions. The protest was also aimed at New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. Sheriffs in Fulton and Erie Counties (New York) are refusing to enforce Thanksgiving lockdowns which limit the number of people in private homes. In various areas of England, police have warned government officials they’re “sitting on a time bomb,” because lockdown rules make it illegal for two or more families to gather together for Christmas---and law-enforcement personnel are permitted to invade homes where violations are occurring. The time bomb is, of course, huge numbers of outraged citizens. In Australia, Qantas airline CEO Alan Joyce announced that travelers will be able to fly only after receiving the COVID vaccine, once it is approved. Soon afterwards, Joyce stood at a podium at an event to give a speech, and a grizzled Aussie walked up to him and shoved a pie in his face. Two women saw New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy eating dinner at a restaurant with his family. He was maskless. “You’re such a dick!” one woman told him. Murphy has just extended his state’s lockdown, the ninth time he has done so since March. At his dinner table, Murphy tried to remain calm. He put on his mask. Andrew Kudrick, the police chief of Howell Township in New Jersey, says he won’t enforce the governor’s “draconian” limit of 10 people for Thanksgiving dinners. The CDC has told Americans to stay home for Thanksgiving. Last weekend, two million Americans boarded flights. In a form of silent protest, 300,000 residents of New York have left the city since pandemic restrictions began. It should be noted that, among the several hundred thousand (or more) Trump supporters who gathered in Washington DC, at a Stop The Steal rally, few people wore masks, and no one paid attention to social distancing regulations. Across America, without fanfare, pockets of the economy are wide open---no masks, no distancing, no one is paying attention to government regulations. The walls of lockdown fascism are cracking, in large ways and small. Actually, there is no small. Every act inspired by the fire of freedom counts.
I wish I could find hope in this. People only wake up to things that directly affect them, and only when those things are in their faces.
God is in charge..... is what is happening leading to Jesus' Return soon ? Today, tonight , tomorrow ? Years from now ? (after so much more disastrous sufferings and destruction and death ? ) The moneyed power, governments, corporations, mostly bigfarma, will not change for the good - will not be redeemed.... and will not honestly give up their power. They control most all the land, food, water, etc etc etc supply of everything.... and they do not have a heart nor soul nor conscience.... And the ecumenical religion worldwide goes along with the world and loves the more upset/ riots/ etc there is, as they are staging it all to have absolute (or as close as possible) power....
I don't know how any sheriff's department would be expected to enforce the ridiculous limit on the number of people in a private home. Did they expect them to canvas the entire state on Thanksgiving Day?? How freakin' absurd. "Let those murderers and rapists out of jail! We need those cells for the notorious Jones family Thanksgiving group!"
Hey! Good idea..... Doctor's and Scientists and many other Professionals suggested that a year ago, (and all along, before then and since then). But, sadly, they were 'squashed' by the power/politic/bigfarma mega system in place which wants to make money .... So, trillions of dollars lost, spend on ... well, who knows ... Instead of the natural progression of things , without shutting down the economy nor isolating all people (only 3% or less , possibly, needed isolated to protect them as much as possible).... The countries that did not shut down are doing well apparently, and the same they did would save / would have saved/ trillions of dollars ... but then the conglomerate in power would not profit ...
Amazing how when the Swine Flu infected over 60,000,000 in this country there was not the nightly media drumbeat with the latest infection stats, much less the "let's destroy the economy" tactics. The latest rules are meant for nothing more than to drive another stake in the heart of our economy. It's not driven by Thanksgiving gatherings, it's driven by Black Friday. Then the assholes who have done this can come riding in on their white horses telling us that they are gonna "create jobs." And millions shall cheer.
So hell yes; let's go for it!!!! The " the natural progression of things" might be Ma Nature's way of telling us that there too damned many of us. Consider that that the population of the earth has almost tripled during our lifetimes. I recently re-read some histories written in the 6th and 7th centuries. Plagues tend to go away when most of the people have been eliminated.
I wish I kept a record of what sites it was on... but (in case someone knows or can find) even during the bub***ic / blac* deat*h ... there were groups, areas, people who the problems did not come near to. Instead of following their good example, the ones who suffered blamed them - they blamed the ones who remained free of disease... Much the same is still happening today.
This is not the plague. It's a flu bug that hits some harder than it does others. Regarding James' post: there is much to modern society that thwarts Darwin. I was just telling someone at my doctor's office that...much of what they do there and in hospitals is to bugger the natural course of events.
There have been several protests against the governor's edicts in Maine but the Maine media mostly ignores them or grossly underreports the number of people who were there. North of Bangor, we pretty much just ignore her mandates. I strongly suspect that "Mother Nature" didn't have much to do with this "virus."
Just about the entire world is waking up. In my other country, for instance, people are suffering the longest quarantine but, on account of the death of Diego Maradona, the government allowed people to pay respect to him...at the Presidential Palace. Over a million people, elbow to elbow, attended. This made the entire nation to rise in protest against the quarantine
Not getting the vaccine is going to cost lives but not the way we would normally think. The Prime Minister announced that only those who have been ‘poked” with the CV vaccine can get on the ships. Everyone else has to fend for themselves which probably means.....left to die. It seems to me that one of those huge ships could sequester the non-vaccinated people to a small portion of the ship but nope, leave ‘em. Gang, it looks like these vaccines are indeed going to be the dividing line between who gets, and who doesn’t.
No, the records of who has been vaccinated is gonna be the dividing line. If you're well-connected, you can get your name added to the list without getting injected. Likewise, if you're persona non-grata, that "Vaccinated YES" can easily be changed to "Vaccinated NO."
Gotta post an edit. The latest news about those ships waiting to evacuate the residents of St. Vincents is that only about 10,000 of the residents have been vaccinated. So, those two ships are only picking up 10K and leaving 100,000.
