Are you sure that's the newest? This is dated Dec 2, 2020 https://chromereleases.googleblog.com/ Will wait and see if there are any responses tomorrow from Chrome folks. I have a feeling it's going to be Foxfire or back to Edge.
Oh, thank you for replying, Von! . Do you know what Version of Chrome you have? Now I know it's from my end, and not the fault of Chrome. Will fiddle around a little more. I'm tired of getting used to different browsers. Anyone out there who has Chrome and can't see the image?
I don't know if that's the problem but Photo Bucket, which used to host photos for free, and which a lot of people linked to for photos, has gone pay so we lost a lot of photos from older threads that were linked there.
That wouldn't be it; if it was then none of us would see the image. A wider problem is that some people link a photo from another website and just paste the URL or image here, which usually works fine for a while. Then the owner of the website or the image decides to remove it from the "host", which leaves a dead link in the post on the forum. To avoid this, the image should be downloaded to a computer then uploaded to the forum. (Of course this isn't Nancy's problem, either. )
@Nancy Hart, I'm confused. If you can't see the image how did you upload it for this thread? Is there a link that we can try to see if we can pull up the image to see if the same thing will happen to us?
@Nancy Hart -- I'm pretty sure you have already googled "chrome not displaying images", but here's a possible solution... Check the Show all Images Option is Selected If some images aren't loading in Chrome, then that might be because the Show all images option isn't selected. First, you should click the Customize Google Chrome button at the top right of the browser and select Settings. Select Advanced at the bottom of the Settings page.Sep 9, 2019 Or... https://support.google.com/websearch/answer/112568?hl=en
The first post of this thread is the test case. You saw the car. You have no problem. I can see any image in a separate window, secure or not secure. The problem comes when I paste an image with a URL that starts with http: in that little editing box to post here. It shows up as the missing image icon. Same with posts by others here. I can't see them either. Same thing happens on some ProBoards forums, so It's not just this one.
