I see the car in the first post on Edge, Safari, Opera, Chrome, and Firefox, and I haven't tried any others.
Thanks for the help, Beth. I tried 2 of the 4 so far. Can't find a Show all Images option. But why can I see the image fine in a separate window? Haven't tried unloading and reloading Chrome yet (last resort). Might have something to do with my anti-virus software? Maybe it gets confused.
These type of issues are so frustrating. Many times they appear out of nowhere and irritate us half to death. I always wonder how people who have no computer savvy deal with the shear aggravation. I spent nearly 30 years in computer support, from mainframe to designing desktop loads for corporate applications, and a simple browser makes me want to take a sledge hammer to the damn thing. This article has a lot of suggestions you might try; scroll past the "try Opera browser" part. https://windowsreport.com/image-not-displaying-chrome/
I found searching the Chrome Menu 'images' under Privacy and Security>/Site Settings>Content>Images. From there select 'Show All'.
Thanks, Von. Mine was already set to "Show All." It mostly bothers me because I want to understand it and fix it. Changing browsers is like giving up. But eventually I will. I also deleted all extensions, whatever those are. That has caused more problems. Clearing cache also caused trouble I've still not repaired yet.
I think I got it. Apparently this is necessary for Chrome, but not Edge. Go to Internet Options on Windows (I have win 10). Looks like this, after you click on Security Tab. Click on Green check mark (trusted sites) and on Sites box just below to right. On the next screen UNCLICK "Require server verification ( https: ) for all sites in this zone." Then type http://www.seniorsonly.club in the box and click Add
Good enough. As long as I don't hit the HOME button here. If I ever do, it behaves as if I'm not logged in, even though I am, and I have to close the window and start over. . It's like that old joke, "Doctor, it hurts when I do this...." Or, if I try to login from the http://www.seniorsonly.club/ . Probably another setting needs to be changed. I thought I tried them all. But all I have to do is add the "s" in the bookmarked URL. I've used that edited bookmark for 2 years here, so not a big deal. Don't think it fixed it on the other forum I'm using as a test case, but haven't checked carefully. So It's likely still something on my end.
I have to admit, I have never made any browser customization with Windows settings; I just accept the defaults there. The Home Button thing is a head-scratcher but for some reason it is working again for me.
