They were both tested before the event.

I would guess to set an example for everyone who can't get tested.

I'll admit it does make for more fun to speculate though. Sorry for interrupting.

    No, you didn't interrupt.

I expected you to say "If they stood close, it would have been used against him anyway."
I was ready to agree with you.

They all know the mask nonsense is purely political. That's why Fauci takes his mask off or pulls it down whenever he thinks the camera is off him, and that's why the same governors who are doing their best to force the rest of us to wear masks rarely wear them themselves.

Virginia's wunnerful Governor Northam at the beach, wearing his mask and social distancing at the end of May.

I don't see this important enough to do any research on it, but did Jill Biden ever correct anyone for addressing her as 'Mrs/" or 'Ms' Biden? My own thinking on the matter as I've mentioned often: "Those of us with real doctoral degrees don't make such a fuss about it."

Not only has Harris never resigned her Senate seat yet, but then Biden announced that the inaugaration would be virtual, and now they are removing the stands for people to watch his inauguration parade. He clearly knows that he is never going to be the next president.

The dismantling of the viewing stands is simply more virtue signaling from the Dems due to Covid. Biden will be inaugurated and he will be the president.

Well, as opposed to the OP, Biden will be inaugurated tomorrow and to celebrate that, nearly 200,000 people will lose their jobs.
Yup, on his first day Joe Biden is going to pull the permits for the Keystone Pipeline.
Some 16,000 builders, 3,000 directly connected to the pipeline and approximately 118,000 spinoff jobs will be dumped.

Not to worry though, he’s also pledged big unemployment checks and another $1,400 in stimulus money so that oughta keep all those unemployed workers celebrating throughout......?

Oh yeah, just a small tidbit. Whilst Biden has said on many occasions that he promises to help expand and shore up labor unions, guess what? Those helping to build the pipeline belong to a labor union. Neat huh? 16,000 labor union jobs down the tubes.

Maybe 160,000 new 'labor' jobs in China?
But here in the USA - here is work for them to DO BEFORE A NEW PIPE >>>

This needs taken care of before more bad happens due to such labor unions (i.e. fix first what needs fixed... will Biden fix it ? >>

"The U.S. figures are sobering: More than 3.2 million abandoned oil and gas wells together emitted 281 kilotons of methane in 2018, according to the data, which was included in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s most recent report on April 14 to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. That’s the climate-damage equivalent of consuming about 16 million barrels of crude oil, according to an EPA calculation, or about as much as the United States, the world’s biggest oil consumer, uses in a typical day. (For a graphic on the rise in abandoned oil wells, click tmsnrt.rs/2MsWInw )

The actual amount could be as much as three times higher, the EPA says, because of incomplete data."
