I Would Like A Couple Of Pen Pals Male Or Female

I would like to hear from some old friends or family with update on their lives and not Politicians, Medicare Ads, Solicitations,

The only email that I get is Spam and a Pen Pal using email could help pass time and give me something else to do. I am not concerned about giving out my email which is alonzotanner@yahoo.com. We can discuss anything you like and see how it goes.

 

I’m surprised you have had no takers. Or perhaps you have had through private message or email. I was hoping you would let us if you had obtained a pen pal but I can see that is unnecessary.

 

You are the only one that has responded. No one has emailed me. Some folks are paranoid about giving out their email address.

 

I guess I am surprised at this. I would have thought you would have had more response.

 

I was looking for a pen pal or two a while back. I used to be on a couple of horse bulletin boards but they folded. I miss them. I was on them all the time.
It almost seems like having pen pals here. Talking about myself without the prompting of the threads would seem almost difficult now. I do the same thing almost every day.

Forums are like having a lot of pen pals. As a teen, it was fun getting letters from a boy in Australia even though we were both ham radio operators and talked on the radio a few times. We were both guitarists. Using the postal service we could share photos. I never knew he had leukemia until I got a letter from his mother that he had died. I didn't do any more pen paling after that.

 

Most people on this forum interact with Lon on a regular basis. Like me they wonder what could you possible share on the sidelines, that has not already been discussed here with him ? Not trying to be mean, just do not see the need. Maybe Lon should take up painting, or reading, become a gamerOr a foreign friend ..like Siberia ,or someplace that no one on there is from. Oh Lon you could do surveys. that is time consuming. Anyone else have some ideas ?

 

Hey Marci; here's a tip. Sometimes people don't return to a thread for whatever reason, so if you want to make sure Mary (or whoever you are "talking" to) sees your reply you should either quote their post or use the "@" sign to make sure they get a notification. Like this... @Mary Stetler
