The Wollembi Pine is protected Miss Kate. I do have a friend in the National Wildlife Department who owes me a favor. But gals no promises. We both risk a hefty fine or a gaol term.
Yep,it looks like a koala The clever scientists have now breed the Wollemi pine after someone came across it deep in the blue mountains ( near Craig ) before that it was classed as extinct .,,it’s a highly held secret where the one is located in the B.M
If ya sneak out at nite to get one we will watch out for you ...I’d love to see a real Woolemi as I love pines ( 99% of my front yard is low growing pines
Yep and we were at risk of losing this dinosaur tree in the fires that ravaged my state last year. But so precious is this.. reputed to be the world's oldest living plant.. that a special effort was made to preserve the small plantation located in a secret and isolated part of the Blue Mountains.. north of Sydney. (pic below) Note how the foliage on all sides is blackened but the WP plantation remains intact.. An extraordinary effort.
Have you seen it or the area Craig ? I know you love exploring but I believe it’s very deep down in the gully’s and like you say protected ...so it should be
We better not get one from the wild. I'm a tree hugger, y'all. The the one that Craig posted looks just right to me. What do y'all think?
So, we have our tree. Now we need to get our food. Kate and Craig, do y'all have traditional Christmas foods?
Traditions have changed heaps over the years ,we still like a bit of roast pork cooked in the Webber BBQ kettle
