Just on a serious note. What are your plans for a real Christmas Shirley, Louise, Kate and Steve? I have had my Christmas Day festivities already last week at my brothers place. He will be away on 25th visiting his wife's family. Will be having Christmas Eve dinner with my in laws tonite.
Craig, Christmas here has been cancelled because of the virus. We are going to have ChrEaster instead. By then, maybe the virus will at least partly gone nd if not, we can eat outside on folding tables. My son is cooking filet mignon steaks with trimmings for supper tomorrow night. We are having our usual Christmas breakfast but it will be just the two of us.
We are staying home alone @Craig Wilson we dislike crowds , we could have been down in Adelaide or up the Gold Coast by invite but decided to stay home ,I’ll more than likely be preserving apricots after lunch tomorrow
That is such a shame Shirley. This bloody pandemic just wont go away. Has been a small outbreak in northern Sydney.. appears to be coming under control. thank God. Becoming worse in Europe.. UK already has this new strain that is said to be even more contagious than the original. There was a scare in our paper the other day that an Aussie returnee just flown in from UK had the new strain. Not heard anything since so must have been a false alarm or the person tested negative.
We will try real hard to,be good and only drink cordial ....but in all reality I’ve never drank and Ron rarely has a beer I bought him a 4 pack of what in think is a Dutch beer he will prob drink one
Steve said he is going to have a glass of eggnog. I'll join him in that since it's calorie free. We always put a little brandy in our nog but only a little.
i myself think it s more hyped up here in the USA.. thing is its at a bad timing of Election and Democratic up roars. right now... we soon will be getting the virus shot so hope soon every one will be vaccinated soon.. anyone we knew who had the virus ,,only had it for 3 or 4 days max. !! it being blown out of proportion as to the numbers of poeple who get the covid ..
I might try a sip of Ron’s beer that’s my limit.....but I will keep.the empty bottles to use for my fermented tea brew
A man I know died from it last week. He was 71 years old with no health problems. That has made a believer out of me.
