They’re swearing that a half dose would be good in light of the fact that there isn’t enough to go around but if the tests are all based on a full dose I can’t understand the logic. Anyway, good luck and I hope you’re right, that is, if you really want the vaccine.
I can't imagine anyone bypassing the opportunity to get a life-saving shot of vaccine! They're saying "No...I'll just take my chances on not getting the virus and dying from it". Hal
It was just announced in my part of the world that prisoners will be getting the vaccine in stage one of the rollout this was a Federal decision. Standby Granny wait your turn ..
Not sure about that but I’ll do some more checking. Thus far, the state governors are mandating who gets what first. The only thing I see on the Federal side are those folks connected with the Federal government and even then, I haven’t seen whether or not the federal pens are getting first crack at the vaccine. Again, I’m not sure but I’m leaning toward the state governors for that mandate.
No, what "they" are saying is that they don't believe everything they are told, particularly from people who have lied to them repeatedly. That said, I truly hope that it goes well for those who take it. I won't be one of them.

Had the first dose of the vaccine yesterday. Of course, I am having a reaction. Low grade fever, aches, pains and blinding headache for most of the day. Feel much better this evening and just got a lovely bouquet of flowers from a dear friend for my birthday. Perked me right up.
There had been no virus in that nursing home https://vaccineimpact.com/2021/24-d...ing-home-after-experimental-covid-injections/
Every morning and evening since I had that lousy vaccine I have been running a temp of 100 to 100.8F. Chills and fever. I pop a couple of aspirin and within minutes the symptoms disappear. Am I hiding them, do I have COVID again? No one can answer that question. My arm is extremely sore and so is everyone else's. In between, I feel fine and go about my business as per usual. This is not a mere spike in that formula they gave us, it is a full attenuated virus and I am warring with it daily. Now, today, they hand me a permission paper to sign for my second dose on 1/31. I am calling my doctor tomorrow and better get some cogent answers before I sign anything at all.
I'm sorry you are experiencing the fever and soreness, Terry. I thought the Pfizer and Moderna were not attenuated virus vaccines??? Whether your arm gets sore or not depends on a lot of things, like the skill of the person who gives the injection, where the needle lands, gauge of the needle, temperature of vaccine, and whether you tense up the muscles in your arm or not. For most of the regular flu shots I've had, my arm never got sore at all, but a couple of times it did.
Apparently our state has lowered the age to 65 to get the vaccine even if you're not a first responder, or have no underlying conditions. They have a webpage to sign up, claim it is already swamped. It appears to be given at the health dept about 2 miles away, but this website covers a 10 county area, and that's just a guess. Can't tell for sure unless I sign up. They will only get back to you by telephone to notify you of your appt, and then it reads (a little snotty, imo) like you only get ONE chance for the phone call and if you don't answer or reply ASAP, tough luck. No wonder things aren't going well. I've got a routine Dr. appointment on the 27th. Will wait and see what he says. Not in a hurry. I've adapted too well to social distancing. lol
