Will there be a sufficient Military presence in the Nation's Capitol to prevent a hostile takeover of our Government on Inauguration Day?

Can Joe Biden handle an AK-47?

I will tell you this, Hal, I definitely, without a doubt, wouldn't want to be involved with anyone trying to protest there. Armed or not!

Another thing, ever try to climb over a tall fence with barbed wire all along the top. Nice way to get cut to shreds!

Just one shot from a armed protester, if there are any, and it could be the Gettysburg Battle all over again.

I wasn’t even gonna touch this but alas, here I am.

There are close to 20,000 trained air mobile and ground troops that will be able to stop nearly everything that comes at them. That said, although there are a lot of crazy people in this world there aren’t many who are crazy enough to face our own troops.

Of course, though I’d rather not have any violence, if an organization like Antifa wishes to try something I might accidentally relish the idea that they would soon be an extinct American Flag burning organization.

The government has the resources to control anything it wants to. Just look at the leftist violence in our cities this summer (with "Occupy" being the test run years ago.) "Mostly peaceful protests" my ass.

If the tables were turned, the Democrats would be handing out ammo and the media would be applauding their Second Amendment supporting patriotism. Remember Hillary's seamless shift from "Anyone who does not accept the results of an election is a threat to our democracy" to her day-after-loss of "Resist!" Not a friggin' peep.

The military are not there to arrest the corrupt ones. They are there , as usual, to protect the corrupt politicians both those in office, and those taking office "legal".

I thought dead (spiritually dead) people are already violent and have been in the news all year ?
Ghostbusters would maybe be safer to call against them, instead of bullets .... not-toxic gas ... instead of mortal wounds , death, etc ....

Seeing as how one of my loved ones is in DC this minute protecting our government from extermists, I would say that you don't know what you are talking about.
Of course one of the missions is to protect the politicians, the established ones and the newly legitimately elected,Which by the way is every single one of them.
Another mission is to protect the buildings and monuments that all good citizens hold dear.
The one mission that he prays will not become necessary is to put down ANY violent dissent with extreme prejudice. His unit has been in training all week long and are fired up to defend our nation against terrorist's.
He will not be carrying a baton and a shield.
Meal Team six is in for a rude awakening!

Oh, you are partly right (a nice surprise)... they are 'protecting ' the government. (maybe) From extremists, maybe not...

The ones they are 'protecting' are corrupt. That's the point.

Well, for those of you that absolutely don't like our American government, you can always move to another country!

One corrupt government to another corrupt government ?
Would still have to warn others about their corrupt government,
    or
more particularly not go along with the corruption, here or there. If someone approves of the corruption, wittingly or unwittingly, they are guilty also.
