You might bump in to something worthwhile. Maybe a snow scene this time of year or an interesting building or a doorway, an animal of note, something to show and talk about, or not. Mama turkey and her urchins.
Texas hill country. Part-of the 92 acres my grandson just bought. He going to build a modern cabin on it.
Funny, you should do a thread about this. We have been to places, like Rocky Mountain National Park and Yellowstone National Park, and have seen many folks without a camera. Heck, they don't even use there phone to take a photo. Memories and/or family memories..........they don't care about that. I was told by someone, "I'm not a photographer, not even with my phone. Not everyone is, or even wants to be." People don't want to have a camera with them for everywhere they go. As for us, it has to be a special place we are visiting, for us to bring our digital and video cameras. Other than that, we rely on our iPhone.
I've become that way. I see people at beautiful places and all they experience is the view through the lens of their camera or the screen of their smartphone. Regarding the above photo, I wonder what percentage of their trip they saw through their lenses, and how often they even went back and looked at their pics. I can go online and see way better pics of those places, and I won't be missing the in-person experience. Of course, that generally applies to scenery and places, and not to some unique or special action/event (Nessie, Sasquatch, etc).
