I don't think so. Her accomplishments are significant but don't warrant being honored on currency and replacing Andrew Jackson.. There are better ways to honor this Black American. You don't honor Tubman by disrespecting Jackson with removing him from the Twenty Dollar Bill.
You need to try and keep everybody happy. THAT is an impossible task, as the US so vividly illustrates. Even so, making efforts towards that end are better than making none at all.
I don't see a problem. Jackson was an extremely flawed man and totally a product of his times. I personally don't sit and contemplate the faces on my money. Of course this is another molehill that will morph into a mountain range, due to our divisiveness.
Lon, Did you ever think a black women would be VP ? like her or not she has made history Kamala is going to showup on something stamp, coin or a twenty dollar greenback .
"hint - it isn't you" lol again - you claim that digital currency will change who controls me. I merely claimed that you are delusional if you thing you are not already be controlled, and that basically nothing will change. What qualifications do you have to make your original statement that I would be controlled by using digital currency?
Lon in answer to your question.. Think it unnecessary to change that bill- but long as it spends I dont care
This is not about putting Tubman on a bill, it's about removing/replacing Jefferson. Bring the $2 bill back and let the Dems play their games with that. As Peter said, I personally don't sit and contemplate the faces on my money...but the Dems do. Unify, my ass.
I don't have a problem with Harriet Tubman being on currency. I think she well deserves the recognition. But if they put her on a one dollar bill, she would get a lot more views.
