One end of one of the many beaches in Malaga Costa del sol... This is a corner of the esplanade and promenade at one of the beaches near my home on the Costa Blanca....this photo was taken on Christmas day The view to the right of the cliffs (and there's caves as well)...of the beach in the second picture.. near my home on the Costa Blanca
Oh yes I was waving to him...Simon, simon I was calling...you seemed to have forgotten someone...but nada.....he seemed to not be able to hear me for the noise of the silly engine.. Oh yes our promenades are all very well laid out so no need to get covered in Sand to sit and admire everything on the beach...and equally most of the beach bars are just downstairs from the promenade so again no big trek across the sand to get a drink
I love the beach sound of the waves crashing to shore and rolling out again over and over hearing it makes me relax. I love the smells of the ocean too! Sometimes you'll see visitors of the ocean too that makes it so wonderful to be at the beach at the same time as the creatures that we share the ocean with. I hate beaches, well maybe dislike, hate is a tad strong, it has something to do with my childhood experiences of being dragged to the seaside most summer weekends and enduring sand in my sandwiches. Lisa loves beaches so I always ensure we stay by the sea sometime during our vacations, but I never spend any time myself on the beach. I prefer forests, mountains, and old towns. Here is a rare pic of me on a beach taken in 1949 with my mother and my brother, I am the innocent looking one on the right
This is one of most of my immediate family on the same beach in 1955, I am centre at the back, feeling pretty miserable I would think Sadly most of the people in the photo are dead now, including my sister centre front.
Cooking sardines in the canoe on the beach... This is San Pedro beach on the Costa del sol Spain..I took this photo in June... Not the beach....just 2 roads from the beach... ..always looks so pretty...
Close up of the aforementioned sardines... The rear of the Beach bar at San Pedro.. Out of season in November ( 3months ago)....
Do I wish I were at the beach? No, not at all. The beach is covered by snow this time of year, there is probably ice in the water, and it's far too cold at the beach.
