@Lon Tanner I think at the moment you seem to be a happy go lucky person, after reading your posts. No troubles, good food etc etc. Make the best of it, Lon . Life is short. Stay out of trouble, wear your mask when u need to and be happy.
Remember the proverb, thousands of years old: "Bad Company Corrupts Good Morals" ? The happy go lucky care for nothing world is bad company. Few (if any at all) can be found with good morals.
I have been looking at individual avatars on this forum and sometimes one reminds me of sometinng. For instanice there is one that reminds me of a captain of a ship, standing on the bridge, giving orders. I don't know what type of order but he is respectedand lends confidence to those around him. And there are others. I happened on this thread of Susan 's and read the threads and listened to some of the music and another avatar came to mind as I brushed my harmonica across my lips. I was going to post that individual's avatar but decided against it, but that avatar would be appropriate. Anyway that avatar reminds me of a song that I've heard over the year, a song I like, and many have sang the song over the years, but here's one from the front porch. I don't know the singers. The Lighthouse
Bill, You are not at all imposing on my thread. I do appreciate it, that you take the time to go through my threads and music. About the appropriate avatar you have in mind for me, now what may that be.? I am sure you have a nice one in mind. Though, for the moment, I would prefer not to have one. Thank you.
Yes, this is true, in line with the other proverbs as well. Note that good company is not always , maybe hardly ever, possible to find, yet yes, when people give up, renounce bad company, and stick with good company, they are blessed and may well turn over a new leaf, AND it shows in their lives ... they become (if they endure) , good company also. Oh, just noticed: you said "can make some" ... I think rather it permits, or allows some, to turn over a new leaf - they still have a choice, and most people go back to bad company after some time whether short or long.
@Susan Paynter, Sorry, no I didn't have one for you, assuming if you wanted one you'd already have it, but sometime I stay off line and read threads while I play my harmonica. I play the harmonica to exercise my diaphragm and my lungs in an effort to breathe better. When I see a music video I generally listen and if I like it I try to play some of it. Sometime a post on a thread will remind me of a song and I look it up on line and play some background or some fill. I have no agenda or preconceived notions about any members. Just hanging out.
