Well, that is all just and right confirmation of all that was reported about the epidemic... starting over though ? Yes, that too.

A friend of mine works in a Social Services capacity so was required to get the shots. #1 was fine. #2 laid her up in bed for a couple of days. She has had diabetes (been on an insulin pump) for as long as I have known her (11 years.) That may be a reaction factor. The State of Virginia is running a one hour "Vaccination Town Hall" right now, both on-line as well as over-the-air on a local TV station. The theme of the show is "Protect The Ones Your Love," because just like masks, your selfishness is putting others at risk...so it's not really your choice to make, is it? When this first hit, our State Health Commissioner claimed that existing law gave him the authority to make vaccination mandatory. Full-court press, baby.
Saw a cartoon the other day that said "You've been eating hot dogs and chicken nuggets your entire life, but now you're worried about what's in the vaccine?" I thought it was funny....
Wife got her #1 this past Tuesday. She was fine overnight and during the day when she was using a computer for work. IOW, her mind wasn't on any pain she may have during the 8 of work. After work, her shoulder did hurt some, but she told me it felt the exact same way that her Senior Double Dose Flu Shot felt then next day after she got that. I get my #1 this coming Saturday at local VA Clinic. What I'm figuring is, just like how serious the Covid 19 can be with someone, our age, who has a serious underlining health issue, perhaps the same goes for the Covid 19 #2 vaccine. We are both Diabetic II and take daily Metformin for that. There are a lot of people in the U.S. that are Diabetic II and take Metformin.
Being diabetic, you've likely followed that aspect more than I. Is diabetes one of those underlying health conditions that might make reactions to the virus more serious?
Now, there is a difference between a person who is a Diabetic I and one that is a Diabetic II. Diabetic I requires an insulin shot daily, due to the body not producing insulin at all. Diabetic II only takes a prescription medication, as in Metformin daily. A Diabetic II does produce insulin in their body, but not enough..........hence, the Metformin. Unfortunately, the media hasn't stated much of anything concerning "underlining" health problems of those Seniors that have had Covid 19 or those that have died from it. But, it is my understanding that a certain number of Seniors, who have serious (key word being "serious") underlining heath problems, are the ones that have had serious problems, including being on a respirator, when having Covid 19. Being a Diabetic II is serious, but, if people, like wife and I, can control their blood glucose, being a Diabetic II isn't that serious. Seniors that have breathing problems, like requiring oxygen (tank) all of the time, can be in very serious trouble if they get Covid 19. IOW, we are both getting both of the vaccines..........and, HOPEFULLY, with no complications.
Waiting for J&J approval to happen here just had my 6th test for it all clear 3 swab 3 blood. Another next month.
There is a website that give updates on the status of vaccines by state. Plan Your Vaccine .(LINK) Georgia is in the bottom 3rd of the country right now, with only 380,394 vaccinations administered out of 1.9 million eligible. I think they have mostly stopped making appointments for vaccinations here because 70% of the allotted supply has already been used for 1st, and some 2nd, shots.
