    What about knitted face washers ( it’s all I use ) I’m a member of a crafty forum and quite a few knit or crochet face washers and have no trouble selling them or using them as a swap gift , the forum is Australian and we have a non compulsory swap once or twice a year.

    ( it has members from all over the world )
    @Silvia Benoit
    I have about 1/2 dozen well used 100%. cotton face washes I’ve got in swaps ,as well as myself making a few myself and I’m no crafter .:(:p.I can and do sew when I feel like it , I have a 21 year old embroidery sewing machine that’s still working so if and when I take part in a swap I usually embroider a couple of nice hand towels .

    I buy the cotton from the big shops like Spotlight / or Big W which is a chain store , when it’s on special .I never buy if it’s not on special ,I recently bought rolls of 100 cotton for $3 a ball normally $8 a ball

    Here is small example of what can be made 100’s free pattens on line
    They can also be used as a dish or cleaning cloth .

    I would never have thought of using something with that open a weave as a face cloth or towel. I bet terrycloth feels like sandpaper by comparison.

    C56ACFFC-C474-4233-9A5E-4877EEEE2E8F.jpeg Yes @John Brunner as we age our skin tends to be more sensitive , I mainly use the cotton cloths on my face ( in the shower ) they never dry hard like terry face washers can and so.
    These are the ones (I made ) and using at the moment.

    I made a couple for hubby in a dark blue and he uses them on his bathroom vanity to stand his razor
    charger (he has his own bathroom ) as I use the ensuite

    Yes @Silvia Benoit I’m was born in Australia ...and I’ve never moved far :)...I live about 500 km from where I was born ,and I’ve never traveled outside of Aust

    I’ve never really had much interest in traveling outside of Australia ,even tho hubby and I traveled for 2 years with our caravan there is still lots of places in Aust still on our bucket list
    ( not cities )

    I spent a month and four days in Sydney......
    Bondi beach, Circular Q, , Sydney Opera, my first cricket game and I was amused by some Americans who were surprised of the sun setting on the west. We jumped from Sydney to New Zealand and enjoyed Rotorua, the Waitomo Caves ...the stalactites caves .and the people of both countries.

    If you decide to make any face washers I’d love to see them ,I have lots of different coloured thread but haven’t made any for a while ,as I said I’m not a crafty lady so I make one or two when mine are staring to look a little shabby ....but they last forever and stay nice and soft

    I recently became aware of this group, who provide "Knitted Knockers" free for breast cancer survivors. I wish I knew how to knit; I'd be all over this. https://www.knittedknockers.org/

    ETA--and since I can't knit, I made a donation to the organization. :D
