@Hal Pollner Beg to differ.......what you state is true in California (of course), and most East Coast states. The high-capacity magazine ban is in effect in CA, CO, Conn, Hawaii, Maryland, Mass, NJ, NY, and Vermont. Curiously, as the country experienced convoluted squirming over concealed carry, only Vermont remained as having NO LEGISLATION in effect regarding CC. Frank
Just to clarify and add to... -Vermont has Constitutional Carry --No permit required to buy --No permit required to own --No permit required to open carry --No permit required to conceal carry -On average, Vermont has 10 homicides per year, statewide --2 are committed with firearms --8 are committed via other means
Maine doesn't require a permit for concealed carry either, or to buy or own a firearm. We also have a very low rate of homicides with a firearm.

Hal, we agree on most things, but here I have to ask if this is meant to be sarcasm? I consider the open/seal carriage to be a fetish, having nothing to do with safety, and should have psychological attention. Having said that I mention that growing up in rural Idaho, I'm quite familiar with guns. I still have the the pump action 22 rifle i got as a present when I was 11 or 12. We hunted deer every fall with a lever action or a bolt action. We didn't have hand guns since, as Dad pointed out, they are for killing people, and since we didn't ..... Since I do not carry concealed or otherwise, when I see someone with a holstered weapon it doesn’t bother me a bit and even a tad comforting. Matter of fact, it isn’t the guy with the holstered weapon who might try to kill me but just the opposite. That person might make the difference in life and death should someone come in with his weapon in his hand and threatening to use it.
NY has no open carry,except for police. All carry is concealed and they do mean concealed. People have been busted for letting their jacket fall open or their shirt ride up.
