One of the reasons I love coming to my daughter' home in Texas (besides getting to play with my Luvey) is the wide open sky, etc. out where they live and the great pictures you can catch even when you don't have the greatest camera for doing this.
Beautiful clouds. One of my favorite things to do is to look at the clouds as they pass and the different shapes they take on. It is fun to see the different shapes in the clouds as they are moving thru the sky.
I love lying down in a grassy meadow on a summers day watching the amazing shapes pass by. I also love seeing clouds from an aircraft window, they look like a soft mattress as though you could lie on them. Here is one taken on a recent flight to Indonesia, its an active volcano poking through the clouds from below. Here is the same volcano from below a couple of weeks later as we happened to drive past it
What beautiful cloud pictures Terry...especially the 1st one. Lately there have been so many beautiful cloud formations in the sky and I am enjoying them just as much as I did when I was young and used to lay in the grass and pick out the ones that were shaped like people and things. Although I don't care to fly anymore...I know I would still enjoy seeing those beautiful cloud formations from up high just as I do from below.
Nice pics, y'all! I love clouds and cloud pictures. Apparently other do as well, because there's even a hashtag for it, #cloudporn. They're not pornographic pictures, people just attach 'porn' to the end of things they really like, such as #ringporn especially for engagement and other high priced and very elaborate rings. I also sometimes check out #foodporn for interesting pictures and recipes. If any of y'all are on Instagram, check out #cloudporn to see some nice cloud photos. I noticed what @Babs Hunt mentioned when I first moved here as well, the land is so flat that I can see for quite a distance, and the pictures can sometimes be very dramatic, particularly when there's good visibility but a lot of storm clouds in the sky.
I'm a cloud lover and always have been. The other day when pulling out of my driveway I had to stop and take a pic of some very low beautiful puffy clouds. I might have posted them on here, I do know I sent them to Terry. I've deleted them so can't repost.
There just have been so many beautiful and usual cloud formations lately that I feel drawn to take pictures of them. But I wish I had a much better camera to do this with at times.
I do notice that the cellular phones take much better pictures now days..some so crisp and clear it's like you are just looking at the scene instead of seeing it through a picture.
