My husband and I enjoy the Sprint Cup Nascar races. With all the new rules and regulations they aren't quite exciting as they used to be, but they are still something we enjoy together. Today I'm happy because it's Daytona 500 race day!
Nice picture. I enjoy the races too. Years ago I used to go to the local tracks but now only watch a few on tv.
My husband lived in Jacksonville, FL since he was 16 years old and went to a few of the Daytona 500's and their "Bike" races too. I spend 5 years of our married life in Jacksonville too and although I saw the Daytona Nascar track a few times...I preferred to watch the races on TV since I don't do crowds very well in my more mature years! We put on our racing shirts, grill on race day, drink barley pops and of course cheer on our favorite drivers. Today I will be watching the Race in Texas while my Honey enjoys it in our home in Louisiana.
Good looking couple! Have some Nascar followers in the family, mainly two son-in-laws enjoy it. My own son, who lived in Charlotte for some years never cared for it.
I'm not a race fan but I had to comment on your lovely pic! Nice looking couple! My husband loved Formula 1 racing.
My BIL is a HUGE NASCAR fan. He has told me before, "this is probably one of the reasons I don't have a girlfriend or ever married." As for us, we are fans, but not nearly like the BIL is. We record the races on our COMCAST DVR and play it back later. That way we can "fast-forward" thru all the commercials. I've got a NASCAR baseball cap. Actually, wife had me buy a NASCAR Wii game that I play sometimes. I can really get into that. Ok, here we go........"Drivers start your engines!"
With the Nascar Wii game can move than one player drive at a time? We have Wii and many games to play on it...but I never thought of getting a Nascar racing one, and I think we would enjoy that very much.
Yes, more than one player can race, BUT you must have four hand remotes. The Main one w/ the strap on it and another remote that Plugs into the Main remote. This "other remote" is for steering and for an extra boost of speed. We have two sets of remote. For some games, both remotes are used.
What a surprise...Denny Hamlin wins Daytona 500! The #20 car with driver Matt Kenseth led until the final 2 laps when Hamlin and another driver just nudged him out of the way and Hamlin win on to Victory Lane! I love a surprise ending!
Happy race day! I went long ago to our Pro Gas races down the quarter mile when I was younger. I kind of left the racing scene when the race tract closed down over a decade ago. I had fun though when I was younger watching friends race the quarter mile! Pro Gas was so long ago I couldn't find images on bing.
