From what we see in the internet the police are acting like the Chinese police. Pulling a woman out of a car for no wearing a mask. Another girl been chocked and then thrown to the ground for not wearing a mask. The people of Australia are good people but the government is acting like a dictator not allowing you freedom to move around. I follow a few people that live in Australia one is crowhouse other is stroppy they are there showing what is going on. You are way off track. I am one of many many millions of Australians that believe our Govt under Sco Mo and his Heath Minister Greg Hunt have done a terrific job during Covid. As another Aussie, pulling a stupid stubborn person out of a car is so incredibly mild compared with all the murders committed by US cops. Our population is generally very compliant with our Covid rules and Lockdowns. We have very few loons screaming about their rights and our death toll has been one of the lowest in the world unlike the US's dreadful record of half a million, mainly thanks to Trump's callous ineptitude. Thank God Biden, an intelligent adult, is now in charge and is actually doing things to fix Trump's gaffs like the trade war he started with China. He was too dumb to realise no one wins trade wars so China has fired back, also punishing Oz for being a mouth piece supporting the US. Hopefully Biden will smooth over the tensions. Compare how many died from the bomb dropped on hiroshima, to those dying daily from air pollution (reported 6000 per day since 2011). Really Terence. That is the result of previous governments ''we need foreign investment so come here and buy anything you want" policy. Thank goodness we now have a leader with the policy of maintaining Australia's sovereignty. While some FI is vital to our economy, bar China of course, Australian companies must retain control with no excess of 49% allowed.
I agree with the 49% Craig, and banning Chinese ownership of certain things, like land and property, businesses.... If that seems excessive look how they play the game. They have many devious plays they should be ashamed of. Unscrupulous but not inscrutable.
