We had left overs for lunch, a fried chicken thigh, warmed up gravy and a helping of red beans.

I worked outside all day and didn't come in until 4PM. I had a couple of slices of cinnamon toast & a cup of coffee to tide me over until dinner.

I slept late so I've just had coffee so far. I think I'll have a boiled egg and wait on dinner. :D

Four slices of local cheddar cheese, eight Chicken in a Biskit crackers, and one 11 oz can of low sodium V 8 juice that is like 2 servings of vegetables according to the label.

I'll often make a meal of cheese & crackers.

I switch up between Chicken in a Biskit and Sociables.

Lon, are you trying to make all of us jealous of what you are eating there? You sure post enough pictures of meals.

There's a mom & pop Italian place in town that has the best steak & cheese (and pizza) I've had in a long time. Mom does not speak English...dad's not much better. I've been here for 11 years and their daughter has worked there since before I arrived (she was in high school when I showed up.) There are 4 small tables in a tiny area in front of the counter, but the bulk of their business has always been a steady stream of carry out, always with a line of people during lunch and dinner time (even pre-COVID.)

It used to be a Golden Skillet diner some unknown number of years ago. The big skillet (faded and sans lettering) is still out front in kind of an "Escape From New York" state of disrepair.

I decided to treat myself to lunch there today and got a salad, fried chicken wings (not sauced), onion rings and an iced tea. $7.50 including tax.
