He is just a person who spends a lot of time outside here. He is married too, but has no children. Have you ever read, "To Build a Fire" by Jack London? It is also one of Gibb's Rules if you follow that.

I always carried a knife of various sizes but when I went sailing it was a must as you never knew when you might be caught in an anchor rode or jib sheet and you can;t move until you have cut that rope. So it was an necessity I was never into expensive knifes only one that would work. My last purchase is this smith & Wesson from Amazon.

That is similar to the one I routinely carry. My two older sons carry Leatherman tools in holsters on their belt. My two younger sons don't usually carry them, so they are always begging a knife from someone else. Our daughters used to carry knives when they ran dogs, but I don't know that they still do.

I don't carry a knife on my person, but I always carry a means of fire.

    Windproof & waterproof.

I forget what marketing email got me to buy this.

Had to read it in Freshman English. It actually disturbed me more than a bit. I think of it when I'm cold weather camping, although now that I'm in my RV (Janet refuses to tent camp) it's not in my thoughts that often.
