Yesterday I turned all our clocks BACK 23 hours.

I always GAIN an hour of sleep when we go into DST by setting our clocks and then going to bed 2 hours earlier than usual.

I also gain an hour when we go back to Standard Time in the fall.

You went to bed earlier, but you didn't "gain" that hour.

Today, 3/14 is also National Pi Day. So at 1:926 p.m. you should celebrate by eating a pi (perhaps a pizza pi). pi is approximated by 3.1415926.....

Or you could use 22/7 (not very good) or 553/113 (a lot better)

pi is an irrational ratio (meaning it never terminates or repeats) - so there is no "exact" time of pi.

[IMG] used by Euler, is one of the most important formulas in math.
    Notice that if x = pi, we get e^(i*pi) = cos pi + i sin pi = -1 + 0 = -1, or
    e^( i * pi) = -1 , which combines e, pi , and i into one relationship. I am still amazed by this.

So, have a nice pi day, and maybe a pizza pi would be a good way to celebrate.

I had no hot water for my early morning shower and took a cold one. Apparently the thermostat on the big heater here in assisted living was not adjusted.

No issues, other than the semi-annual aggravation of resetting all the clocks in the house and vehicles.

I was up at 4:30 AM, resetting all of our clocks to 5:30AM. Only clock not reset is in our Durango in the garage. It is blowing snow so much, I could barely see, while on our patio taking some photos and video of the heavy snow coming down.

I hate getting up an hour earlier for church. Other than that, since I'm not working, I won't really notice the early darker mornings/later lighter evenings.

I used to manage a 24 hour gas station. Yes, I had the "Do I get paid for 8 hours even though I only worked 7?" conversations, as well as the "When they turn the clock back, I'll be here for 9 hours!! I'm not just gonna get paid for 8, am I?"

Rednecks don't pay the clock no never mind. They get up with the sun and go in at the dark. :)

Just leave the damn clock alone, one way or the other.

So to hearken back to a different thread...a functioning clock is only correct half the time, if your locale observes DST.
