Now, Lon, you done the thread on how the ladies look better than the men at your Assisted Living place. And, about how some men prefer beer over wine for dinner. Am I right?

IOW, I don't miss much, especially when it comes to a picture.

No negative, but I doubt if I would ever fit in well there, to country here for it.

Well, I was sort of digging that old cowboy look until I noticed he was wearing slippers or possibly pumps. In his defense, I must say he is accompanied by a female sporting some sassy sandals, which does speak well for his stature.

My neighbor, tenant and now that a few months have passed by, a new friend. Aaron is almost 5 and doing better learning English and will enter kindergarten in September. Pepe’ doesn’t speak a lot of English and I am no longer fluent in Spanish but we’ll sit on my front porch and converse quite nicely for 3 or 4 hours a week.

the cutlery isn't placed right, he's wearing a hat at the table, using 2 hands to hold a small sandwich.

Wearing a hat, whether it's a baseball cap or cowboy hat, at breakfast or lunch, in a restaurant is fine. Just not for dinner/supper. This is under "hat ethics" online.

His plated sandwich slice is backward! That would drive me crazy and I would go over and turn it in the right direction.

Lon has a point. All the ladies are dressed nicely. The men, not so much.

I never spend more time getting ready for an event than the actual event is gonna last. ;)

Actually, if you want to stay dressed in your lounging clothes, then just have dinner brought to your apartment. It's rather sad to share your "I've given up" state of being with others. You should leverage the presence of others to elevate you, and be grateful you don't have to put on your face.

I would never live anywhere I felt I had to "dress for dinner." If I were going to a communal dining room for 30 minutes, I'm definitely not putting lipstick and heels on, so fugitaboutit. (And to me, no one in that picture is dressed up so what does it matter.) This is where these people LIVE, so just schlep down there, eat, and go back to your room.

Actually, all that guy has to do is button up his shirt.
