Whenever I need a recipe I go to BettyCrocker.com or Pillbury.com. They've got free sign on for a free account. Every year they've free calendars too! You can find all their new mixes and rate recipes. Have you tried BettyCrocker.com or Pillsburry.com yet? (image from webweaver.nu http://www.webweaver.nu/clipart/img/misc/food/baking.jpg.)
Thanks for the info. I mostly go to Cooks.com or All Recipes.com. Sometimes I just google what I want and find lots of recipes
Allrecipe.com is the site I go to when I need to check out ingredients. Yummly is also a good site. I got a good recipe from oven fried potates that turned out really good.
I use all of the sites. I have gotten many recipes from Taste of Home over the years (my mom, sis & I all subscribed to the magazine for years), as well as Cooks.com. The first cheesecake I ever made was a Betty Crocker recipe, and I'm planning to make that again one of these days. I love how helpful the recipe sites are with emails containing holiday meal and dessert suggestions, as well as gift ideas, and they often incorporate other tips as well, such as decorating.
My fav chicken thigh recipe is from Betty. A friend of mine likes this site http://food52.com/recipes Its very interesting, but I haven't tried anything there yet.
@Ruby Begonia When you have some time, can you post me a link here to your favorite chicken thigh recipe? I love chicken thighs, and am always looking for a good recipe for them. The one I tried the other day was good, but only because I more than doubled the cooking time listed, and I prefer tried and true recipes to ones I have to constantly watch and tweak as i'm cooking. If I stumble upon the Betty Crocker cheesecake recipe I have made over the years, I'll try to post it here in case anyone would like to try it. It's super easy, but makes a lot. There might be a way to half it, but it uses a cake mix, so that might be difficult.
PS I just found a drink at Food 52 I need to try, DIY Ovaltine- http://food52.com/recipes/40869-diy-ovaltine
I'll have to look into that. I see the recipes they post on Twitter and Instagram, I follow Food52 in both places. I'm not sure if I follow them on Facebook because I'm rarely there these days, but I do enjoy seeing the pictures and recipes they post. I haven't had Ovaltine in quite a while, I'll have to see what it contains.
Lets hear how it turns out. ... and what you put in it. The problem I find, is that they give you 'options' ... with that, how would you make it to taste EXACTLY like the stuff you buy. ... I'm a fan of the real stuff. I like it and keep it handy, especially for grandkids.
Diane, so sorry I am on the tablet today and I don't know how to post a link!!!! Pictures yes, links, no. Anyway you can search the site for Soy brown sugar glazed chicken thighs. I have made it both with and without the ginger and it was delicious each time.
