Happy Birthday and so glad you can enjoy it at home and your prognosis from yesterday was encouraging. I still remain optimistic that the Taxol will exceed the doctor's expectations. Thanks, Faye. I have the best kids EVER. I told Kevin a few years ago that tulips are my favorite flower and he has sent them to me ever since... I think at least 5 or 6 years now. The best thing today was that I heard from all 5 of the children. I believe my doctor feels confident that he can get me to "NED" (no evidence of disease) after treatment, but the great unknown is how long that will last. IBC has the highest recurrence rate so I will continue to be nervous and on high alert when treatment is done.
Well, for Pete's sake. I was just looking back at my chemo calendar and realized that I have actually had 9 of the 12 Taxol treatments. Sheesh. So only three more of those to go, and then on to the harder stuff. I must have chemo brain or something.
You'd think they could have scheduled the chemo so that you'd have completed the regimen on your birthday. On the subject of birthdays, I hope you've had a good one.
