Today I went to the deli and picked up a some of there cold cut combo specials like Delarosa Genoa salami and Land of Lakes Italian mix cheese, Boar's Head ham and swiss, Boar's Head Honey Maple turkey, and Boar's Head beef bologna. Also got salads potato, macaroni, mozzarella balls, tomato and cucumber and coleslaw. To go over all this nice fresh Italian bread and sliced Italian. There will be a few of us for lunch so that would be enough food.
John, We usually get their Flyers With Coupons they last for about 3 weeks then we'll get another flyer. I I have been getting they're Market Fresh turkey bacon sandwich lately, it's like I'm addicted to it. I keep saying I'm going to try something different but I go back to it.
I just packaged and froze a bunch of the Kentucky Legend Ham that Gloria Mitchell turned me onto. I've got a bunch of their sliced turkey I'm gonna have to freeze soon as well. Yvonne Smith got me started on making sprouts, and the ones I made with black mustard seed taste so much like horseradish that I bought some roast beef yesterday and made a sandwich with the sprouts thrown on top. It was a winner!!! This place is gonna make me fat!!! Regarding that Arby's sandwich...just about everything there is a winner. Adding those Market Fresh sandwiches was a good idea. I had one of their gyros a while ago, and it wasn't bad (the meat was good but the tzatziki sauce needs a little tweaking.) They are not as cheap as the other fast food places (just like Roy Roger's wasn't) , but you can't compare their food to McDonalds or Subway...just so much more flavor.
I haven't seen Kentucky Legend here I don't believe it's carried locally, I would have like to try it. We don't have Roy Rogers locally either, we use to have it around the corner and I loved there Double R bar burger, it was a hamburger with ham on it with really nice sauce. We have to privately owned hero stores that make heros to your liking. They both will add "the works" to whatever combination of cuts you choose. The works can consist of lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, peppers, salt and pepper, oil and vinegar. Of course you can also just get Mayo and or mustard.
You could go across the river to a NJ Walmart for it if no local stores carry it. They have it in North Bergen & Secaucus.
Today I had a roast beef, ham & turkey sandwich on a kaiser roll with mayo, Swiss, and a handful of spicy black mustard sprouts. And potato chips. And a frozen eclair bar.
Today for lunch I'm having chicken cutlet parmesan wrapped in a pizza type dough, looks like a stromboli. Picked it up at the Italian deli.
