Our boat is at the marine service center getting "summerization" done and a new prop put on. Dropped it off last Thursday afternoon. Still a lot of boats there, in their storage area, wrapped in white shrink. Masks are still required to go inside their service desk and store. Starting tomorrow, our weather is going to go back to normal or above. Normal for May is 71, and it can be amazing how many boats hit the water at that temp. But, 71 here is pretty warm.
Just being extra cautious. When my wife tells me "we no longer have to wear our masks", then we will stop. But, until then. Yes, we've both been fully vaccinated, but there are reports out there of fully vaccinated people getting Covid. We are trying not to be one of them.
I suppose everyone knows it, but the this came out just yesterday: "National Nurses United thinks the CDC's decision is premature", so, keep wearing the mask. https://www.cbs8.com/article/news/l...asks/509-6b3ef2a7-13b1-454a-9bbe-2b6d34bca1e0
Read what professionals are saying today, not this last weekend, about mask wearing. Hugh has it posted.
When Texas opened up, Biden said it was a Neanderthal decision but as it turns out, Texas hasn’t had ONE (1) death due to the virus since they opened 2 or 3 months ago. In other words, if you’re livin’ in Texas just do whatever is in yo pea pickin’ heart.
But the mask protects everyone else, right? No one can wear a mask out of their own self-interests and self-protection...it doesn't work that way. And apparently you can wear it backwards and it magically still lets germs in while keeping your from escaping...even if you made your own out of remnants...with no idea which side is Front and which side is Back...and you wear it one way one day and the other way another day. Where's that thread on Wicca? They gotta have a hand in this.
My main activity is weeping for our nation. We have arrived at 1984. Anyone who exhibits even a modicum of common sense is overwhelmed by the overtly ignorant masses.
It is unbearably hot here - 78 degrees. I don't know if I'll survive, even with two fans and the windows open.
Ice cream souns good. Wish I could ride over there with you. Long timesince I've been to Fresno. @Lon Tanner @Ken Anderson Been a long time since I've thought of 78 being hot. That''s what it is when it cool off here, usually. However, this year has been a little cooler. Guess you could always seep in a cool shower for a couple of minutes, it gets too hot.
