Here is another video about Hitler and his finances. Please note that he sold German industry to foreign entities for personal gain at the expense of the German people. Sound familiar? link
One thing that nobody has mentioned is what remained of the Great Depression ended right after Pearl Harbor. US industry began to boom and employment increased dramatically. Harold
The people who own those big industries that started up made a fortune and the people paid for everything. Like Canadian income tax was the temporary tax to pay for WW1 it never went away
Yes, Boris...Japan "whupped up" on China such as during the "Rape of Nanking" and other incidents before WW2, when Japan had its knee across the throat of China. The Japs thought it was great sport to throw Chinese babies in the air and catch them on their bayonets.
Japan did a lot of killing of civilians, but they didn't do quite so well against Chinese troops. If the Chinese Communists and the Nationalists had truly combined under a common command and the Allies continued support, the Japanese might have been defeated in China.
One thing nobody knows is that the world religion/ leaders/ politicians/ et al loved creating war, killing people, causing division, to gain more power, and to make more money.
When that flag was erected by US Marines on the peak of Mt. Suribachi on Iwo Jima in 1945, it didn't mean the Japanese had surrendered...there was still over a month of bloody fighting ahead before we could claim victory. (AP photographer Joe Rosenthal took the famous picture) Hal
Hitler's father Alois Hitler because of his mother could have changed the sur name of Adolph, in which case the well known German salute and salutation would have been HEIL SHICKLGRUBER.
I decided this is the best place to ask this question. Please gentlemen tell me why: Men are so interested in war, especially if they have never been in the military ? Almost every man I have ever known who Has not been in service always wants to watch history on war. Yet few if any who have been in service care to relive that horror. Second, why can men watch someone being blown to bits, during dinnertime, yet the mention, of vomiting, a dirty diaper, or a woman's monthly -is enough to make them want to puke? Please explain this to me ! Not just my hubby, many men are alike this.
I dunno about other guys but I do, on occasion, watch documentaries about some wars just not the war I was in. As far as the other stuff, bodily functions are a bit of a thing but for me, it isn’t the sight of something it’s the smell of something. I’ve cleaned up behind dogs, cats, changed many diapers and yes, cleaned up vomit and human feces but seeing it and smelling it are two different subjects. I think it’s one of those, my gas smells okay but yours is horrendous things. As far as those things that pertain specifically to women, nah....except for the mood swings it’s no big thing.
I agree with you @Bobby Cole. I actually enjoy histories and documentaries and even fictional depictions of war, just not the one I participated in. Absolutely nothing else really bothers me. Dealing with "floaters" that have been in the water for days or weeks are the closest thing to really disgusting I can think of.
