Yes, I think he has a sense of humor. Maybe attempting to do things he does not like or approve of, and having the efforts blow up in your face at every turn, is a for-real comedy soap opera to him. If it makes Him laugh, or just amuses Him, maybe that's what you were supposed to do. Better to make Him laugh than angry.
If you read the Bible you will find our Creator has every emotion we have. We are made in His imagine and our emotions are part of that image. God loves, laughs, gets angry, experiences joy and sorrow... it's all written in the Bible. That's also why He understands His Children so we'll.
Be aware though, that anything "born of the flesh, IS flesh, and profits nothing". (the stuff of the flesh must be dealt with) And the Divine Plan: (He Accomplishes His Way) > Crucify the flesh with all the Desires and Emotions there-of, and live in newness of life as a new creation in Christ, with HIS Thoughts, as HE Desires, in Accordance With All of the Creator's Perfect Plan and Purpose in Jesus.
I believe God wants us to have every one of our emotions Jeff. One of the fruits of the Spirit is self-control...and I believe that fruit is the one we are supposed to use to keep our God given emotions from controlling us or getting out of control.
As a new creation, yes. (new mind, (mind and thoughts of Jesus), new spirit (holy and pure, clean), ) Everything, all things, whatever is of the flesh, is flesh, and profits nothing. This is described thoroughly in the Bible. The many religions of mankind, including most of christendom, imitates things, copies things, "acts as if" and "says as if" they are right and know the truth and know the right way. It is written if they stay in the flesh, and continue as actors, deceiving, that God gives them over to believe their own delusions, so they really really really do believe, and believe they are 'right' and 'saved', until judgement day when they find out "Jesus never knew them" .
Jeff, Jesus is my Lord and Savior, and God my Creator...and I feel every emotion He made me to feel...and I wouldn't change that for anything. I also trust the fruit of the Spirit residing in me to keep those emotions from taking control of me. I also keep my faith very simple...God is my Creator, Jesus is my Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit is my Teacher, Counselor, etc. The Bible is God's Word and Truth. Satan is real and so are Heaven and Hell, good and evil. If you are looking for a theology debate, etc. you won't find it with me.. My faith is deep and stands firm...and simple.
God and I love you just the way you are @Bill Boggs. He has a free gift for you... anytime you're ready for it. Can't wait to meet you and your missus in Heaven some day.
We do best if we go with what the Bible actually says clearly. For those who wish to pursue it further/ research it / reading the Bible, trusting the Father in heaven, that is enough, and if not, or if some "helps" are desired, here's a reference long standing, long proven in line with all Scripture >>> From The Spiritual Man, (I think still available online free; it has been for years anyway) >> Part SEVEN:THE ANALYSIS OF THE SOUL—EMOTION1 The Believer and Emotion 423 2 Affection 437 3 Desire 449 4 A Life of Feeling 461 5 The Life of Faith 477
So you don't want to answer direct question? I don't know what Bible you're reading but The one I read does not judge people's stated beliefs.
