~9,850 miles - Atlanta, GA to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia I just learned something. If you dig a hole straight down from where I live you will NOT end up in China. You will end up in the Indian Ocean.
Oh, I don't know the distance. Probably the Cayman Islands. I've crossed the country from east to west and north to south several times, though. Other than Cozumel, which was a cruise ship stop, I haven't been further into Mexico than Mexico City (I delivered an ambulance there once). I've been to Mexico several times but mostly near the border, which is also true of Canada.
No, YOU will end up in the Indian Ocean. I ain't digging no hole that deep. edit to add: I was so caught up in being smart I didn't ask what you were doing in Malaysia (if I may ask.)
It was a 24 hour layover on a rerouted flight from India to Los Angeles. The guys that fueled the airplanes in India went on strike at the last minute and the plane had to go to Sri Lanka to get fuel. That screwed up the whole route. Don't ask what I was doing in India.
Yep. Did you notice that when going there the stewardesses grew older and lesser attractive to an 18 year old?
I went over on a ship. Took 21 days. Came home on a plane with air conditioning and it felt great. I don't even remember the stewardesses. That cold air sure did feel good though.
Seattle, Washington. I don't know how many miles that is from Lafayette, LA but that is as far as I've been. The only trip I've ever wanted to take overseas is to the Holy Land.
Ah yes, another government funded all expense paid trip to an exotic land…..…go places, see the world…..
I don't know. I've been to Moncton NB Canada, Cancun Mexico, Ixtapa Mexico, and Jamaica. I'm not looking those up to see how far they are.
