Just a question that may be irrelevant, @Beth Gallagher but did he get vaccinated? This is just the type of thing the CDC was investigating regarding the Covid vaccine in younger males.

I have no idea, Don. Are you sure the Covid vaccine could cause a total blockage "widowmaker?"

Not sure as the data is not being made public, but serious unexpected cardiac events in younger males was on the bulletin I read.

I had heard of some kind of heart-related "irritation" or something from the vaccine, but honestly I haven't paid much attention. David is a vocal conservative and huge Trump supporter, so I somehow doubt he has had the vaccine unless it was a job requirement. :D

Don--I have wondered if you are (or were) a medical professional? (I apologize if this is too personal. Feel free to disregard.)

I do not think that the vaccine could cause that kind of a blockage, especially that fast. Since what I was reading said that it could take years before it manifests itself, it is more likely that some kind of a reaction to the vaccine could possibly have triggered the heart attack, and then they discovered the blocked arteries.

@Yvonne Smith they wouldn't know the side effects that are years in the future. What I was referring to was coagulation issues apparently related to the clotting problems experienced by many after the vaccine was given but more serious. It was enough to merit an emergency meeting of the powers-that-be at CDC. I have not read what the outcome of the meeting was, but I am certain it will be downplayed and "nothing to be worried about."
I am very concerned about the long-term side effects of this vaccine. We are essentially testing a totally new technology that was previously thought to be too dangerous to use on humans on hundreds of millions of humans at the same time. For older folks, it is not so risky, as our reproductive lives are over (for most of us) and our lifespan is coming to a close. To foist this vaccine on young people may risk the whole future of the human race if there are fertility and sterility issues associated with it as has been suspected from the beginning. What if vaccines given to high schoolers or college students cause reduced fertility or sterility for the remainder of their lives? It would make Bill Gates and his ilk delighted to drive the human race to extinction or near extinction, but those young people so affected might not be so delighted. There is also a possible issue around autoimmune diseases since the vaccines cause a change in DNA that instructs your own system to create a viral antigen to which your own immune system will make antibodies. In other words, you are making your immune system make antibodies to proteins that your bodies produce. Should those antibodies generalize, you might be making antibodies against your own tissues. Sometimes those kinds of effects take years or even decades to be demonstrated.

So my next-door lawn-obsessed neighbor was out there mowing for the 3rd time this week, stopping short of using a caliper or surveying equipment to determine the height differential between our lawn and his. I seriously get tired of hearing that damn lawnmower. Also, I try not to look out the window because he always wears shorts with cowboy boots and no shirt. That 65+ year old body with the gray chest hair and huge beer-gut are so... "Put a shirt on!!!"

Maybe you should get one of those "robo-mowers" since your vacuums work so well.

Nah. We'll just let the lawn crew handle it. :D (Besides, that wouldn't help get the neighbor to stop mowing every other day.)

That's pretty funny (since it's not my neighbor.) I lived across the street from a guy like that (cut his yard more than once per week), except his fashion sense was more "traditional." I suspect he cared less for his lawn than he did avoiding the missus.

I can't believe Kathy lets him out of the house in that getup, but she's probably just glad he's outside.

I am shocked he is married!!! I have a divorced neighbor like that but he doesn't mow or do any work. He wanders around or sits outside in flowered cut-off PJ bottoms with fuzzy slippers, shirtless, and chain-smokes. Disgusting animal! He also turns his dog loose after I go to bed to poop on my lawn. I throw it back on his driveway and getting nearer hitting his porch with every toss. He will step in it and doesn't seem to care.

LOL. Your dog-poop catapult makes me laugh every time.

They are actually nice neighbors; keep to themselves and keep their home/yard looking really nice. I guess he figures he's retired now and can let it all hang out, so to speak.

The wife next door to Beth is your neighbor's ex, Faye. She traded up to a guy who'll at least cut the grass.

Thanks! He does have a Texas accent and his smoking has him talking like Dusty Rhodes. He can hock a luggy like a backwoods East Texas bubba. Probably from Opossum gully down Hillbilly Lane south of Texarkana.
Well the old wanker across from me would be better suited for a tornado-damaged East Texas trailer park. Maybe he would upgrade and buy a cropped t-shirt. and go to cut-off jean shorts that look like he survived an Ocelot attack. Maybe even flip flops or click clacks as my cousins in Texas called them.
