Reagan declared July to be National Ice Cream Month (1984), but it was just supposed to be a one-off, not a recurring holiday. The proposal was put forth by Kentucky Senator Walter Dee Huddleston (this is an enumerated power, isn't it?) I can't find out exactly what the motive was. Recommended activities are: -Host an ice cream party -Try as many flavors as you can -Invent your own flavor I think I'll put in a request to have July declared to also be National Who Needs Impulse Control Month.
Whether or not there is an actual month for ice cream, we'd be more than glad to get two banana splits from Dairy Queen. So, so good!
I was surprised to see you do Mexican on your way home. Not just because of your taste buds, but because of your digestive system in general. I had Mexican for dinner Tuesday night and it did not sit well, but I always ask for spicy salsa, so it serves me right. I don't care what it does to my system, I refuse to submit.
Oddly, savory foods still taste mostly OK. I had a few slices of beef and chicken, some rice, and yummy refried beans. Also a couple of blobs of guacamole and everything tasted great. I still miss my beer, though.
I have a pint of Amaretto Cherry Chip in the freezer for spoonfuls of weekend treat. Next may have to be Jamoca Almond Fudge.
I mentioned before that I switched to fudgesicles becuase having bulk containers tested my protion control...and I always failed.
Hubby had 3 beers today.I ate a banana so didn't fix my bloody beer. Only time he will dance with me is after a beer. I dance to exersise.I should probably drink more but I only get the taste for one every month or longer.
I seldom drink just to be drinking, but some foods just call out for a cold beer. Since I've been on chemo I haven't had any, though. I figure my poor liver has enough to do with the chemicals I'm being loaded with.
