Yesterday, on Telemundo -Spanish TV/NY-I watched the people of Cuba running on the streets of Havana screaming for freedom and the end of the dictatorship...........and the Cubans in Tampa and other cities in Florida supporting them. The reporter said "regardless of the Cuban government immediately sending the repression forces and closing he access to the Internet the people were able to let the world know their voices."
I hope the Venezuelans follow them.......and the Argentinians see / listen to the Cubans and stop Socialism before it runs them.
Many Americans tell me "Socialism will never take place in USA." I guess they don't see the signs because they never saw Socialism in action....Dividing the people (race/ money / social level...), no punishing criminals as they are supposed to, defunding the police............and a lot more.........are all signs of Socialism
I hope the USA follows their lead instead of lying down taking the beating, the current tyrants are administering us.
A Cuban who was protesting on top of a roof was ATTACKED by about 12 police officers (black berets) and arrested; nobody knows where he was taken; I will post the video as soon as I get it from a friend.
Camaguey is one of the most important provinces in Cuba; its Communist Party First Secretary has been arrested by the people and the Camaguey's police is backing the people. AOC and Bernie Sanders are mute....neither one has said one word..
I'm pretty sure that many of those who are currently in positions of power in our country can't understand why Cubans would be protesting communist rule.
I wouldn't say "can't" but they feel is the correct approach to fill up their pockets; Castro's, Chávez, Maduro's, Kirchner's fortunes are in the thousand of millions...OF VERY CSPITALIST AMERICAN DOLLARS.
In the meantime, PBS runs a special about Puerto Rico government protests titled: Landfall A look at Puerto Rico post-Hurricane Maria as it faces a new threat -- disaster capitalism. Through shard-like glimpses of everyday life in post-Hurricane María Puerto Rico, Landfall is a cautionary tale for our times. Set against the backdrop of protests that toppled the governor in 2019, the film offers a prismatic portrait of collective trauma and resistance as Puerto Ricans navigate dismantled social services and newcomers eager to profit. Ah, yes. The ills of freshly-dismantled social services and those capitalist profiteers set against the backdrop of a hurricane-ravaged island. A cautionary tale for our times, indeed. Lets ignore those "efficient government" warehouses full of undistributed emergency supplies as citizens starved to death and lacked potable water. I'm sure the government knew that Puerto Ricans would rather die of dysentery than drink water freely provided by the capitalist profiteers of other nations. Such consideration is just one of the many valuable social services an ungrateful populous quickly forgets. Perhaps Cubans could be forced to watch more PBS.
Not to mention most of the MSM who were gushing all over Castro from 1991 till recently when the Obama’s spent a couple of days with Castro.
