107? Yep, I'd be staying in the house with everyone else. We have a lot of days in the low 90s here in Florida, but seldom gets over 100.
We get days of "humiture" (heat+humidity) approaching that level. I don't understand why they would not not be out giving rides. People still need to get places. And you sure don't want them walking, or standing outside waiting for a bus.
Recently I stumbled on a YouTube video from a guy teaching strategies to gig drivers. Apparently they aren't sitting at home waiting for an order, they are out parked somewhere to be on the ready. I wonder if the issue for the drivers is that they sit in their cars waiting for a ride request. Same with food delivery services. If fewer people are ordering up a car or a meal, drivers are either running the car to keep cool, and not getting reimbursed for the gas, or sweltering with the car off.
It is in the 80's and humid again today. The humidity has been the worst. Soaking wet t shirts every day. And mosquitoes. But Tuesday it is supposed to start being in the 70's. Might get some good work days in.
It’s 86 degrees at 5:17 pm. My husband and I will take our evening walk at 8 pm before the sun goes down.
Hi, sometimes I don’t mind the heat if it’s not humid. And I can’t stand mosquito bites because they can turn into huge blisters. So I’ll just stay inside and try to relax.
