Trying to figure a members personality by their posts may not be very accurate but it can be FUN and we all need a little fun don't we? Without sharing the names let me say I think I have found the bossy ones.

I can be but that's mostly because every place I've ever worked I've always had to be in a supervisory type role. Even though I wasn't a supervisor. I was a glorified babysitter. LOL!

I don't like to be but there are times when some folks cannot seem to function without someone dictating the steps every day so they can manage to do their jobs. Some of our employees need the extra supervision because they are somewhat special needs. We have 2 young men that have some sort of underlying issues. The one I will call Joe is a great kid and fun to work with but he's on the upper spectrum of Autism and he struggles without daily nudging. Task by task. The beauty is he knows it and he's ok with it because he wants to do a good job.

There are some who are just bossy for the sake of it all and those people I don't like.

What about you Lon? Are you bossy? :D

I can definitely be bossy. A lot of it I learned from being in the Navy. IOW, the military doesn't take crap from enlisted personnel.

I wasn't really the "laid-back" type when I was working, but that really seems to have changed now. I found out a number of years ago, before I fully retired, that many companies don't want former military people because they are so strict with different things. As for me, I wanted my inventory to be as perfect as possible and vendors to get stuff I ordered, to me as soon as they could.

I'm a "leader" much more than a "follower". My wife is much more of a "follower". She had a management job once, but found out extremely fast that she doesn't have the personality to manage, however, I do.

Hmmm, I wonder what he meant by that?

As for bossy, I prefer "assertive." :p

In a perfect world, everyone would just do what they are supposed to, so no one would need to be bossy. ;)

Nope, I am just plain sassy. I prefer S words over B words. If you have me on your bossy list, then you take me off it right this minute, old man!

I am not bossy so STOP ASKING ME THAT!
I prefer to be a laid back bum that just yells at the tv or other drivers or myself.
But people who really know me know I am a control FREAK who needs to learn to control herself and not others.

Hey Lon, Just curious. You live in an assisted living property. Do you have coffee with the same guys every day? Play golf or other activities? Do they put you at the same table for meals or can you move from group to group?
My gaggle of friends is sadly dwindling so I see the same people and critters, basically, all the time. Not easy to get to know new personalities.
