I am retired and live in Jersey City New Jersey. I am 72 and have four grown children. I was a professor of English and have an MA.
Hi Mrk...I'm in southern Maine. I worked with computer formerly. i had five grown children(2 of which have died) We have 14 grandchildren and 12 great grands.
Hey Mark! Welcome. I grew up in New York so we were practically NEIGHBORS. But now I am a bum in Wisconsin on a hobby farm. And I got old. Who'da thunk?
Al, Thanks for you reply. I have seven grandchildren and would like to see the next generation. I live across form New York and can gladly give advice to anyone who is planning a trip there. My avatar is from a recent trip to the site of Woodstock. I was at the original in 1969 and was on that very spot.
Thank you for the welcome. Which part of New York? I am originally from Brooklyn specifically East Flatbush. I went to Tilden High School.
Howdy to you too. I was in Texas only once in my life and was in Houston in August 1969. Hot was not the word .Do they still sell Lone Star Beer?
Oh heck yeah on the Lone Star. I think their slogan should be "pour it back into the horse." My personal preference is Shiner Bock. The heat and humidity here is terrible.
I don't even remember what Lone Star tasted like. I would try Shiner Bock if I could find it and it did not interfere with my medication. It is no fun getting old. the best beer I ever tasted was in Quebec City, Cheval Blanc.
Hello @Mark Bayarsky . Welcome. My brother and his family are in NJ, Tenafly, and a couple of his kids are in Brooklyn.
