We only have a typical Aussie small house block of land / house but I still found room to plant fruit trees
    I’ll go take a photo

That is interesting. There was a shortage of jars here too, last year. And LIDS. I can't believe it is just soooooooo much more people are canning. It is too much work and young people don't know how. I have always had some jars and increased because I wanted an alternative to freezing which is soooooo much easier. We have had power outages and there are still all these threats out there.
I love our dried apples but this year is an off year. Our big crops this year are potatoes and tomatoes. Not sure what is the problem with our beans. Will freeze the beets because we only have a few quarts worth.
I am thinking of trying to can meat. We generally freeze our beef but what if power outage? saving some is better than losing all.

We planted them all when we had our home built 15 years ago ,they were like a little twig when we planted them
Last summer we picked 60 kg of fruit off the apricot …and 50 kg off the peach ..the plum had in excess of 70 kg of fruit sadly we had to bin some it was way tooooooo much to cope with

That is great. We pretty much just did what had to be done here in past 5 years grew a few crops but not much as we use to. I had a stroke then heart attack so slowed me down and him too. Could have been worse just two stents put in and partial loss of vision. No cure for the vision loss or glasses.
