Just a quick note of news as of September 1st I would no longer be living in my basement apartment, my wife and I have reconciled I will be moving back into the house that I lived in for over 40 years. We have been separated since last November I hope never again. We have an apartment on the house that my daughter and her family live in, so I'l able to see my grandkids everyday if I choose. I have been visiting every day now for a couple of months having lunch and dinner with them. We generally are all together my daughter and family, me and my wife for meals, we share the Cooking duties. I only bring this up cuz I commented about my life situation in prior threads, I felt it only fair to bring you up to date.
@Tony Page this is great news Tony. I hope you two will be much happier now and work to get along. Best Wishes.
I'm finding out that long as I agree and have no opnion or un-ask for advice I do fine around my kids and grandkids.Otherwise its back on the ignore list for me.
I dont remember this attitude towards our parents when we were kids. What is it with the kids of today??
Times have changed when I was growing up. Back then you look to the elders for advice because of their experience and knowledge. Doesn't mean you had to do with what they recommend, but you showed respect and listen. Most young today don't want our advise they got the internet. Tried to tell them that the internet is not always accurate or correct. It can also be biased.
Part the way some were raised, partly undoctrination in schools and media and partly us not letting go I guess, not sure.
