This has happened to me the last 2 weeks shopping

I can picture a rickety front porch and a jug of shine with those dogs.

 

It's the before picture in a before and after advertisement for doggie dental braces.

I thought I was being clever with the above but just found out there really are such things as dog braces. From the web:
Depending on the condition of the teeth and how many rounds of anesthesia are needed, dog braces could run between $1,500 and $4,000. Owners will need to bring their dog in for weekly or biweekly visits throughout the process. .

I read somewhere that homely men like to make fun of homely women. It was either in Psychology Today or Sports Illustrated - I forget which.
