My mother was a good person all the way around and I took care of her till her last breath.Had help from fire dept at times but she would not allow Hospice to help. She passed in our front room we rented oxygen, hospital bed for her. She would not take any meds although she passed from painful lung cancer.
Her first hubby jumped out plane over France parashoot didn't open. Her and next one was in car wreck which killed him broke her neck crushed her ribs etc,car flipped over 6 times.
So she had us 5 kids later in life was a night club performer for several years sang played piano.

I agree fully! Tell the greedy little leeches to take a hike. Good kids would want their mother happy and even chip in if necessary.

@Lon Tanner This makes me mad as hell! It breaks my heart that her own kids want her in a death camp and not a quality place like Oakmont. My fate is in a good friend's hand as specified in a legal agreement as I have no living children. My mother wanted to live a lesser life so I would have some inheritance. I told her no, I don't need or want it, I want you living as comfortably as possible which she did.

Unless she has designated one of her kids as her power of attorney, they have no say over her choices at all. However, if she has dementia, that's another story altogether.

Its just another sign of a selfish uncaring society. IMO womens rights were not always positive. We put our children and parents in the care of strangers now we are reaping the product of that. Mothers and daughters use to be at home to care for children and parents the young and weak. All I can say is now its our turn to pay the fem piper.
