Fruit cakes we made about 7 yrs ago, just took one out of freezer a couple months ago for something sweet and it still tasted great!
Haven't had a fruit cake for about three years. Used to get some delicious ones form a place in Texas.
My beautiful donk Rosie and hubby horse Tobacco. She was a black solid but in picture her coat was bleached by the sun. She was so smart yep a real smart ass.She would run to me if starttled where the horse would run in other direction. Rosie would put her head on my chest and just cry if she got upset. She would hide behind a tree and peek out at me if she was mad. Guess she didn't realize the rest of her was not hidden. She would run by and grab my newly transplanted plant and sling it at me then kick out.She was fun I hated to give her away, had her sine she was just a little fur ball.
Those were good. I soaked the fruits, nuts in brandy overnight then brushed them with brandy and put them up. Haven't made any in 4 years. We ussually make several at a time.Use to send one to hubby mother who gave us the recipe years ago.
I like what you said but truth be known, I'm a hack. I pick and choose my photos mostly from around the world or the country, taken by others. Usually uncopyrighted. Once upon a time I was a good ameter picture taker but age and health have made me unsteady and my brain slow.
I've noticed a spider web on my outdoor chives off & on for a few weeks. The weather destroys it, a spider reweaves it (seemingly in a single day.) I happened to notice it last night and decided to take a quick pic: I grabbed a flashlight and wedged it in a sawhorse real quick. Next time I'll make more effort to put a better light to it and maybe put my camera on a tripod.
